  By age 25, the majority of Americans born between 1940 and 1944 were married (79.6% of women and 65.3% of men). Only 30.3% of women and 20.3% of men born between 1990 and 1994 were married by the age of 25 about fifty years later According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, it was established that Americans that got married later on in their life stood a greater chance of never having to return to the alter again. Either for a second or third time. We may examine trends in marital patterns and contrast the marital history by sex and birth cohort , which refers to people born during a particular period of time, thanks to the 2021 Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP). We used five-year birth cohorts for both men and women in our research, starting with those who were born in 1940–1944 and finishing with those who were born in 1990–1994.
